As a 3D Character Artist/Animator contracting with Gamebreaking Studios, you will use your art skills to contribute to the remaster of Dungeon Rampage, a 2.5D Hack-and-Slash game.

We are looking for someone to contract with us for the purpose of making models, textures, rigging, and animations for a couple of heroes being added to the game. This is a good opportunity for an artist who wants to use their skills to help with the release and remaster of a game that has a very passionate fanbase from its time as a Facebook classic. We expect the artist who joins us to be comfortable meeting deadlines and working quickly, and is able to adapt to the stylistic needs of a project. We also want to make sure that whoever joins us is comfortable working semi-autonomously and is comfortable being communicative daily with the rest of the team to get feedback and show progress.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise with Maya 3D software
  • Expertise in Texturing Software (Photoshop, Substance, etc.)
  • Experience creating 3D Characters for games or equivalent
  • Experience creating textures for 3D Characters for games or equivalent
  • Experience rigging 3D Characters for animation in Maya
  • Experience Animating Characters in Maya

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience working with Mel Scripts / Python in Maya
  • Experience making powershell scripts for rendering automation

Responsibilities:

  • Re-create 3D Models & Textures in Maya
  • Create and implement animations & rigs for existing or new character models
  • Learn our internal 3D art pipeline and suggest improvements
  • Work alongside programmers to ensure assets meet technical specifications
  • Managing and maintaining art asset libraries and naming conventions
